Ian Asprey Bio
A love of adventure.
I grew up in the heart of the West Midlands, the open countryside was not introduced to me until my first school trip to Snowdonia. I was hooked, the air was better, the mountains were beckoning me and this is where I found my new love of hiking through the world as it was mean't to be.
I wanted to capture my adventures so I brought my first camera, a point and shoot.
To my frustration I could not get what I was seeing with my eyes to translate to the photographs I took.
It was at this point I looked into the finer details of photography and got my first DSLR camera. I studied hard and practised plenty and with the help of the new digital dark room, ironically called 'Lightroom' ,I was starting to see the image I witnessed reflected in my photography.
At this point I started to plan all my trips to iconic locations across the uk and further afield.
Chasing the light.
I started to plan my trips around the Uk to iconic locations, carefully planning around the weather and hoping for the best light. Early rises and late stay outs to get the sunrise and sunsets. Iceland is a favourite place for me to visit, it is a photographers paradise with so many locations and if you time your trip right you get the best light for a lot of the day or night.
Shooting the stars.
The universe amazes me so I wanted to photograph the galaxy we are part of, capture the infinity, its not just the photography though, it is being out there in the moment that lives long in the memory. Hope you enjoy what you see. Kindest Regards
